What is UNWELLNESS costing you?

I love sharing my clients stories… because they are SO INSPIRING.

But in Shelley’s story there’s a cautionary tale (can you pick it??)…

"I came across Nat’s website about 5 years ago and looked at it on and off over time … but at the end of 2020 I found myself nearly 10kgs heavier than at the start, I felt achy, bloated and decrepit having just turned 49. I have long battled hypothyroidism and the battles had extended to reflux and feelings of fatigue and fogginess. So I made the call to Nat. I am so glad I did – here I am now and... aches have gone, reflux has all but disappeared (no more medication!), thyroid and related symptoms are under control. I’ve dropped15.5kgs and a combined 69cms – and am in a normal BMI range (weight has been another battle for me). At the start I didn’t think it was possible for my waist to get to 80cms or less – but it did and I’m now classed as “low risk” rom a health perspective! I’m ok about turning 50 in a few months. I’ve shifted from dreading this aging malarky which was getting me down in many ways to feeling enormously privileged to be getting old – and to have my health. I’m now equipped with new habits that have been anchored in and am hopeful for the future. Thank you so much Nat for your amazing program"

Did you pick the ‘cautionary tale’ ??

Shelley kept waiting for the RIGHT TIME (see previous BLOG) … and in that time she added another 10kgs to her already 5kg extra. PLUS because of the inflammation she carried a slew of other health issues arose.

But you may say… “But Shelley eventually sorted herself out with your program!”… “so waiting is not a big deal”

Well YES and NO.

As I explain to my clients… your health issues leave scars and these scars can cause problems in later life.

Research shows… When looking at healthy vibrant lucid 80-yr-olds compared to 80-year olds that were suffering with dementia and physical and mental frailty… the difference wasn’t between their diet and lifestyle AT 80-yrs old but the difference was ‘how they got there’ — i.e., what their health was like at 40, 50 or even 60 years old.

Individuals that DO SOMETHING sooner than later can age healthily and reduce the risk of chronic diseases like Cancer.

But the RIGHT TIME wasn’t the ONLY thing holding Shelley back.

In fact, having coached 700+ women back to ‘Optimal Health’ I’ve heard story after story about why they didn’t act sooner… here is some of what they shared with me…

“Not enough time in the day”… “Exhausted at the end of each day”…

“I’ve given up finding the answer”…“Embarrassed I can’t do this on my own”… “I haven’t got the money”….“Fear of failing - yet again”

“Confused by conflicting health messages”… “Difficultly asking for help”

“Ashamed and embarrassed that I’ve let it go too far”… “Pride stops me from coming forward”

I could keep listing all the reasons they shared with me… but I am sure you get the picture.

You know what though?

Every single ONE of those reasons applied to ME too!

These reasons literally IMMOBILIZED me.

But Shelley realised, like I did, and hundreds of other members did…

WHAT their unwellness was costing them.

Not just the cost of treatments, medications, supplements, but the cost to their RELATIONSHIPS with their partners, kids, family, friends etc.

ALL their relationships were suffering as a result of their unwellness.

When they decided that they had nothing to lose and everything to gain, and stopped waiting and TOOK ACTION, this is what happened…

Kristy told us… “Now that my pain has gone I have more energy to focus on my family. I feel that I can be more present with my kids/husband as I don’t have the pain pulling me from the present back into my own head”

Melanie told us… “I feel alive, no more lethargic me on the couch feeling sorry for myself and my family. The energy I gained is huge!! I have been able to live my life to the fullest with my kids while on holiday, jumping to any sport activities with out a second thought (unless this is about paragliding lol) and I still remember that only a few months ago, I had absolutely zero energy to do anything”

Heather told us… “I had become anti-social because I was embarrassed by how I looked. This in turn resulted in me becoming more and more isolated, I was lonely and unhappy. Now as I enter my 60’s I look amazing (sorry for boasting) but more than that, I feel confident in my body and now participate in social functions. Recently I met the most amazing man at a social event, something that would never have happened had I not made the leap with Nat”

Carli told us… “Where am I now? Pain free. Taking walks with my partner. Enough energy to get through my day and evening, and now love social events”

Valerie told us… “I really thought that my life was mapped out to be with medications, surgeries and more. Now I have a whole new life in front of me and am so excited. My husband and children are over the moon as they have got their wife/mother back”

Ann told us… “I feel like I'm able to take the world on and my social live has improved (mainly because I'm now interested!), the change in my mental health has been enormous! I have started playing sport once again - something I haven't done for a few years now due to back pain”

Katie told us… “Going to the beach and swimming with the kids with heaps of energy (that was my big goal) and it feels so good to get here. My energy is great, my weight has gone back to my natural weight and my hormonal issues continue to improve. This has been one of the best investments I've ever made”

What they ALL agreed on was

“If I could have changed anything, I would not have waited and done this years ago!!”

You see it does NOT matter what the reasons are that are holding you back… it’s ALL about keeping your eye on what you WANT to be ABLE to do

When you FOCUS on that (i.e. keep your eye on the prize) those reasons fade away!!

TIP: Work out what you WANT to be ABLE to DO!!

Let that BE the reason you take action now to healthy behaviours!!
