The Right Time…
If you've been wondering (or worrying) whether this is the RIGHT time for you to do something about your health… then read on… I have something to share with you.
I want to share a couple of photos with you that are worth a thousand words.
On the left is me at 44 yrs. old… Hospitalized with chronic back pain, lugging around 15 extra kilos, suffering chronic fatigue, battling incessantly itchy skin, crazy peri-menopausal symptoms AND miserable.
On the right is me now at 60 yrs. old … with absolutely NO pain, maintaining a healthy weight (for over 13-yrs), full of vitality & energy, clear complexion and having breezed through menopause AND brimming with happiness and gratitude.
When the doctors and specialists told me (at 44-yrs old)…
… “it’s all just a part of aging, but we can medicate you to relieve the symptoms”
I did NOT, I could NOT, accept that!
Don’t get me wrong… I have a great admiration for medical professionals and all they do, BUT the solution of medication and to accept this as a part of aging - was NOT a solution for me!
Well, what did I do?
I did NOTHING for the next 3-years
WHY?
Because I was WAITING for the RIGHT TIME.
A time where I wasn’t so busy… so I could ‘dedicate time’ to me and my health.
You see (at 44) I had one child at primary school, one at high school and one at university. Then on top of that I had full-time work, home life etc. (you get it right!?!)
Guess what happened?
My life didn’t get less busy but my health certainly got WORSE… Every day was like wading through mud.
So, now you’re probably thinking… ”Geez Nat, your story so far is NOT any sort of answer for me!!”
But it’s important for you to know that I understand your struggle.
By sharing my story, I am NOT trying to impress you, but impress UPON you that a health (and life) TRANSFORMATION is possible for YOU too.
But don’t just listen to me… Let me tell you about Jacqui, 54.
A busy professional, regularly travelling with work, she was waiting for the right time. Jacqui was carrying around an extra 40kg. She struggled to get through the day with constant fatigue. Suffered from high levels of anxiety, low libido, fluid retention, hot flushes, poor sleep habits, post-nasal dip and always in extreme pain.
She (like me) kept putting off doing something about her health.
When I told her, how she could transform her health WITH her busy schedule, she was sceptical… but took the plunge.
After 56-days: Her weight was down by 17.2kg and waist by 18cm. Fast-forward 6-mths and her weight was down by 30kg and waist by 26cm
Jacqui was brimming with joy when she told us… “I now have lots of energy. I am swimming 4 times a week and have just started Pilates twice a week. I feel so much calmer and clearer in my head. My libido has improved, the fluid in my legs and ankles has reduced. I haven’t had hot flushes, am sleeping better., no post nasal drip and I haven’t needed any pain medication since starting the protocol which is a miracle. I did all of this with full-time work and travelling every 2-wks for work, proving anyone can do this if they really want to change"
So, you are probably STILL wondering… what IS the answer?
When is the RIGHT TIME? Well I can tell you one thing…
If you're waiting for that RIGHT TIME then you'll probably be waiting for the rest of your life!!
Why, because if you are anything like me… LIFE IS ALWAYS BUSY - not a month goes by where there isn’t a celebration for a birthday, wedding, engagement, holiday away, social engagement, Christmas, Valentines, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Easter.
Or then there’s the… WAIT….until the kids are in kindergarten, or primary school, or high school. Or wait until the kids leave home!!
ALL of this… not to mention the ongoing work, life and home commitments, right?
So can you see how finding that RIGHT TIME is basically impossible!
The Answer?
Do NOT wait until life gets LESS busy…
Do NOT wait until next Monday, or next month, or the New Year or the right time...
Do NOT wait until TOMORROW, START NOW…
Make the DECISION you are going to start with healthier behaviours - right NOW!
Do NOT think…. “I’ll just eat this chocolate bar and then start” . Give that chocolate bar away (or better still, put it in the bin) and go grab a piece of fruit.
You KNOW what healthy behaviours are right? So, start them NOW!
