ZINC – YOUR SKIN’S BEST FRIEND

Does your skin look dull? Is it prone to breakouts? Is it slow to heal? Then taking a look at your ZINC intake is a good idea.

Zinc is an essential trace element found in every tissue in the body. It is directly involved in cell division, cell growth, wound healing, proper endocrine function, maintenance of ideal hormone levels and the breakdown of carbohydrates.

There is a shortage of zinc in many people’s diet and a deficiency can result in lack lustre skin, that is slow to heal. Low zinc can also result in allergies, susceptibility to colds and infections, night blindness, loss of smell, loss of hair, white spots on fingernails and trouble sleeping.
